Our shopping & prescription service

 Sometimes getting out to do the shopping or collect a prescription just isn’t easy — that’s where WAG comes in.

Life can throw all sorts of challenges our way — illness, mobility issues, or just those days when things feel a bit too much. Our amazing volunteers are here to make sure no one goes without the essentials, and no one feels forgotten. Whether it’s picking up groceries, collecting medication, or simply checking in with a friendly smile, we’re here to make life a little easier and a lot less lonely.

 Our WAG Shopping Service supports anyone in Warminster or the nearby villages who struggles to get out to the shops.
Each person is matched with a friendly volunteer who will:

• Call ahead to find out exactly what’s needed and where you prefer to shop.
   
• Do the shopping just as you would yourself, choosing the right brands and sticking to your list.
   
• Deliver it to your door, making sure everything is right and receipts are included.
   
• Check in briefly to see you’re okay and have everything you need.
   

You pay only for your shopping, there’s no charge for the service itself. Many of our volunteers become familiar faces, turning a routine delivery into something to look forward to each week.

Our Prescription Pick-Up Service is another simple but vital way we help people stay well at home.

Once matched, a WAG volunteer will:

• Collect your prescription from your usual pharmacy on the agreed day.
   
• Confirm what’s been collected and safely deliver it to you, most of our clients do not pay for prescriptions, but if payment is needed, we’ll let you know the process in advance.
   
• Keep you updated if there’s any delay or change from the pharmacy.
   
• Ensure confidentiality and safety, following our safeguarding and data-protection guidance.
   

It’s a small act of help that makes a huge difference, giving peace of mind that your medication will always arrive when you need it, from a friendly, trusted face.
