WAG – A Community That Cares
WAG isn’t just a charity — it’s a proper community lifeline. We’re local, grassroots, and built on kindness, connection, and showing up for people when it matters most.
Whether it’s picking up someone’s shopping, popping round for a chat, or just being a place where you can come in, have a cuppa and not feel alone — WAG is here for the little things that make a big difference.
We’re not about ticking boxes or chasing targets. We’re about real people, helping each other through tough days and celebrating the good ones too. It’s not always perfect, but it’s full of heart — and that’s what makes it special.
Everything we do is made possible by volunteers, local support, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel part of something. If you’re looking to get involved, need a bit of help, or want to support a charity that truly cares — you’ll find a place here with us.
Loneliness Awareness Week | 10–16 June 2025
Loneliness doesn’t always look like loneliness. It can affect anyone — at any age, in any part of our town. And sometimes, it’s the people you’d least expect.
At Warminster Action Group, we see it every day. Someone who hasn’t spoken to a soul all week. A carer who feels invisible. A young person feeling disconnected. An older resident who just wants someone to talk to.
We’re here for all of them.
We believe no one should feel alone, and we’re working hard to change that — one cuppa, one visit, one friendly conversation at a time. Whether it’s through our befriending service, community shoppers, the WAG House or the Shed, we’re creating a space where people feel seen, supported and part of something.
💛 Read our latest blog to find out what loneliness looks like in Warminster — and how we’re working together to tackle it.
It could be as simple as popping in for a chat, making someone a cuppa, or picking up a prescription.
Whether you’ve got an hour a week or just want to lend a hand now and then, we’d love to have you involved.
You don’t need experience.
We’ll give you all the support and training you need.
You just need to care.
💛 Drop in to the WAG House — Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 2pm
🛠 Visit the WAG Community Shed — Wednesday & Friday, 10am to 12.30pm

Our recent Mental Health Morning was all about connection — sharing breakfast, gentle movement, creative expression, and support. See how the Warminster community came together to raise awareness and support wellbeing.
We’ve knocked through two rooms, added fresh paint, comfy seating, and lots of colour to create a warm, welcoming space for the whole community. It’s brighter, bigger, and ready for you to enjoy.
What started as a simple idea during lockdown has grown into something really special. Warminster Action Group is now five years old — five years of supporting neighbours, building friendships, and standing together when it mattered most.
Over the years, we’ve delivered food and prescriptions, launched a Community Shed, created safe spaces for connection, offered a listening ear, and helped people feel less alone.
This month, we’re incredibly proud to have made the front page of the Warminster Journal, recognising everything we’ve achieved — together.
It’s not just our story — it’s yours too.
Want to help but short on time? We’ve revamped our Volunteering Page to make it simple, flexible, and easy to get involved! Whether you have an hour a week or just five minutes, there’s a role for you.
Providing a hand with shopping and prescription pickups when you need it.
Offering a friendly phone chat or a visit for those who might feel a isolated or lonely.
Creating a space for everyone in our community to drop in, have a chat, and join activities.
Want to know what we’ve been up to? Our blog is where we share the real stuff — the people, the stories, the wins (and the wobbles). If you like hearing what’s going on in your local community, this is the best way to stay in the loop.
